Automation Test Engineer / QA Automation Engineer 4 To 10 Years

We are looking for an experienced Automation Test Engineer with 4 to 10 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of QA methodologies, automation frameworks, and tools. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our applications through robust automation solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Automation Framework & Script Development

Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, etc.).

Create and execute automated test scripts for web, mobile, API, and backend systems.

Enhance existing automation frameworks for better performance and scalability.

2. Test Planning & Execution

Analyze requirements, create test scenarios, and identify test automation opportunities.

Perform regression, functional, integration, and performance testing as needed.

Ensure high-quality deliverables through continuous testing and feedback.

3. Collaboration & Communication

Work closely with developers, product managers, and manual testers to understand requirements.

Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning.

Report defects clearly and track them to closure using tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.

4. CI/CD Integration

Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.

Monitor test execution and maintain automation stability across releases.

5. Quality Assurance & Documentation

Follow QA best practices and maintain proper documentation of test scripts and results.

Provide metrics and reports to stakeholders regarding automation coverage and execution status.

Identify risks in the development and delivery process and propose solutions.

6. Continuous Improvement

Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and emerging automation technologies.

Optimize automation scripts for performance and reliability.

Contribute to improving QA processes and overall product quality.

Required Skills

Strong experience in automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, etc.).

Hands-on programming skills in Java / Python / JavaScript / C# (customize as needed).

Experience with API automation using tools like Postman, RestAssured, Karate, etc.

Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and QA methodologies.

Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps.

Experience with version control systems (Git).

Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner).

Knowledge of cloud testing platforms (Sauce Labs, BrowserStack).

Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow).

Exposure to microservices and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
