Key Responsibilities: - Study and assess customer inquiries to determine technical feasibility of solutions - Prepare comprehensive scope for automation involving PLC & HMI systems, with additional knowledge of automation systems including Drives and Plant Electricals being advantageous - Assist the proposal team in creating technical offers - Engage in technical discussions with customers regarding scope of supply during order finalization - Aid the Supply Chain Manager in compiling vendor inquiries for VFD and Automation panels and in evaluating vendor offers - Provide architecture and BOQ to proposal for automation involving PLC & HMI systems - Estimate engineering (hardware and software) manday requirements and commissioning activities based on project complexity - Participate in technical trainings, learn new products/systems, and conduct training sessions for others - Collaborate with project management team, customers, and vendors during project execution - Maintain documentation in compliance with ISO guidelines and Quality requirements - Design calculations and selections for solutions involving PLC & HMI system, with additional knowledge of Drives and Plant Electricals being beneficial - Engineering of VFDs according to Indian and international standards - Prepare GA drawings aligned with Electrical Control Room (ECR) layouts - Generate hardware engineering drawings using e-plan, AutoCAD, etc - Prepare detailed BOQ Component selection for Bill of Material preparation - Design automation scheme and architecture as per requirements - Develop logic, prepare PLC software based on customer design inputs, and simulate in office - Assist panel factories and vendors in resolving queries during panel building - Adhere to the highest safety standards and exhibit a process-oriented approach in line with quality guidelines - Conduct testing of VFD and automation panels at factories - Develop commissioning schedule and estimate mandays required for commissioning activities - Prepare commissioning documentation for customers - Conduct commissioning of complete automation system involving PLC & HMI, with additional knowledge of Drives and Plant Electricals being advantageous - Provide on-site training to customers Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering - 6 to 10 years of experience in engineering and commissioning of projects - Experience in handling complex projects with multi-cultural, multi-national/regional, diverse groups - Experience in Paper & Pulp domain is essential - Strong technical knowledge of Paper & Pulp process with a proven track record - Experience in Siemens PCS7 software development - Strong analytical and problem-solving technical skills - Good written and spoken communication skills for coordination with internal and external stakeholders - Willingness to travel frequently for short to medium durations (and long stretches occasionally) to sites for commissioning and services,
