Automation Quality analyst

As an Automation QA, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts using frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and QA teams to understand requirements and define test strategies. Performing regression, functional, integration, and API testing when needed will be part of your key responsibilities. In addition, you will identify, document, and track defects, ensuring timely closure. Your involvement in sprint planning, reviews, and daily stand-ups will be vital. Continuous improvement of automation coverage and optimization of test processes are also expected from you. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc. - Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and QA teams to understand requirements and define test strategies. - Perform regression, functional, integration, and API testing when needed. - Identify, document, and track defects; ensure timely closure. - Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and daily stand-ups. - Continuously improve automation coverage and optimize test processes. Qualifications Required: - 3-5 years of hands-on experience in test automation. - Strong understanding of SDLC, testing methodologies, and QA best practices. - Experience with automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit, or similar. - Strong scripting/coding skills in JavaScript / Java / Python (any one). - Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) is a plus. - Good understanding of REST APIs and API testing tools (Postman, Newman, etc.). - Ability to analyze requirements, prepare test plans, test cases, and test data. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
