Job Description

About Position:

We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Lead to drive the automation strategy for cloud-based applications. In this role, you will lead a team of QA automation engineers, design and maintain robust automation frameworks using Pytest and BDD, and ensure seamless integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. You will be responsible for validating cloud environments (preferably Azure) for scalability and reliability, collaborating with cross-functional teams to uphold quality standards, and mentoring team members on best practices.

What You'll Do:

Lead the QA automation team and define automation strategy cloud-based applications.
Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Pytest and BDD (Behavior-Driven Development).
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality assurance.
Perform cloud testing across environments (Preferably Azure) ensuring scalability and reliability.
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to ensure test coverage and quality standards.
Conduct root cause analysis for defects and drive preventive measures.
Mentor team members on best practices in automation and QA processes.
Ensure compliance with security, performance, and reliability standards.

Expertise You'll Bring:

Strong proficiency in Python and Pytest framework.
Hands-on experience with BDD tools (e.g., Behave, Cucumber).
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud-based testing strategies.
Basic Linux command-line skills for environment setup and troubleshooting.
Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases for data validation.
Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good knowledge of manual testing as well
Strong communication, both written and verbal is required
