Automation Lead Engineer

As a QA Lead with mandatory team handling responsibilities, your role involves writing and reviewing high-quality code to meet project standards. You will thoroughly understand functional requirements and align them with client needs. Additionally, you will conceptualize comprehensive solutions for both functional and non-functional requirements, selecting suitable technologies, patterns, and frameworks. Implementing design methodologies and toolsets effectively is also a key aspect of your responsibilities. Your role will entail facilitating application development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities. You will lead or support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production rollouts. Creating, assessing, and justifying Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and estimated efforts for modules/tasks will be part of your daily tasks. Addressing issues promptly and viewing setbacks as opportunities for improvement is crucial. Providing constructive feedback to team members, setting clear expectations, and assisting in troubleshooting and resolving complex bugs are essential aspects of your role. You will also propose and justify solutions during code/design reviews and conduct Proof of Concepts (POCs) to validate proposed designs/technologies. Ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of applications, identifying and reporting bugs and defects, troubleshooting and debugging issues, and generating and maintaining test reports and documentation are all part of your responsibilities. Collaboration with the software development team and other stakeholders on software quality assurance is also required. You should possess strong proficiency in API Testing, REST API, Selenium, and Behavior Driven Testing. Analyzing application requirements and specifications to create test plans and test cases, designing, developing, and executing automated tests using Python/Java languages as required are essential skills. You will be expected to utilize testing tools such as UFT, TOSCA, Test Complete, Katalon Studio, Appium, Coded UI, Protractor, Selenium, or other tools as required. Employing testing frameworks like Junit, Nunit, TestNg, or other frameworks as required and having experience in Gherkin, Behavior Driven Testing, and Test Automation Framework are also necessary for this role. The working hours for this position are from 12 pm to 9 pm.
