Position Overview: In this role, the test automation engineer is providing expert professional leadership and solutions for creating test automation and continuous improvement on existing test automation framework. As a member of our team, you will work in a high performance, high frequency, enterprise technology environment. This role will be expected to collaborate with other Automation specialists as well as the Engineering teams to identify automation solutions for Unit Testing, Systems Testing and Integration testing needs. Responsibilities: Document, test, implement and provide on-going support for the automation solutions. Focus on techniques for defect prevention, as opposed to identifying defects. Enhance personnel scale with heat matrices, to drive Quality and Development Engineering personnel with the highest priority interfaces, and also where not to focus their time. Independently estimating and re-estimating testing effort on projects while recognizing and communicating dependencies in cross functional testing as well as data to complete estimates. Mentoring and training new & existing team members Accountable for the growth and efficiencies with quality automation suites and harnesses. Complete the feedback process using empirical data to influence user story definitions, acceptance criteria and engineering designs. Required Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to convey complex and technical information in an understandable way. Strong analytical skills, highly organized, self-motivated and a quick learner Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Proven Knowledge of BDD, TDD, Maven, Jenkins, Git, Cucumber, Cypress, Selenium, Java and Python Solid understanding of relational database query Detail-oriented and goal-oriented. Be able to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with version control concepts Required Experience & Education: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related discipline. Minimum 3-5 years of work experience in testing automation engineer in a large corporate environment. Proven ability to develop strong working relationships and establish a high level of credibility with business users/stakeholders. Experience working with web and APIs in On-Prem and AWS environment.
