Automation Engineer

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automation test scripts using Java and Selenium WebDriver to validate multiple business scenarios efficiently. You will also need to identify and locate web elements effectively using XPath, CSS Selectors, and other locator strategies. Implementing wait mechanisms such as implicit, explicit, and fluent waits to handle dynamic elements will be a key part of your responsibilities. Additionally, working with Linux environments for basic troubleshooting and log analysis will be required. Key Responsibilities: - Write and optimize SQL queries to ensure data integrity. - Learn and implement best practices in test automation and version control. - Perform API testing using tools like Postman or RestAssured for functional and integration validation. - Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA team members to identify test scenarios. - Develop and maintain test documentation, including test cases, test plans, and reports. - Develop detailed and well-structured test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on product requirements. - Identify, document, and track bugs and defects in defect management tools. - Validate UI, usability, functionality, and business logic of applications. - Able to validate multiple platforms and configurations such as Win/Mac, Mobile (iOS and Android), Desktop Applications, Add-Ons/Extensions. - Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings and contribute to sprint planning and test strategy discussions. Qualifications Required: - 4 to 6 years of experience in automation testing. - Proficiency in Java and Selenium WebDriver. - Strong knowledge of XPath, CSS Selectors, and other locator strategies. - Experience with SQL queries. - Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman or RestAssured. - Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. - Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
