Automation Engineer (AI & Workflow Integrations)

As an Automation Engineer at Altrio, a global leader in real estate investment technology, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining internal workflows and integrations that power global operations. Your role will involve working with modern automation tools and growing into a specialist role in AI-driven workflows. You will be a part of the Data & Services team in India, collaborating closely with Altrio's global Data Services & Professional Services leaders. Key Responsibilities: - Workflow Automation: Design, build, and optimize automation workflows using platforms like n8n, Make, and Zapier. - Integrations & APIs: Utilize REST APIs, webhooks, and JSON to integrate applications such as Google Workspace, Slack, CRMs, and databases. - Scripting & Custom Logic: Write scripts in JavaScript/Python for data transformation, error handling, and custom automation nodes. - Database Operations: Query and update SQL/NoSQL databases as part of automation pipelines. - Deployment & Maintenance: Manage and optimize workflows for scalability, performance, and error handling. - Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions. - Documentation: Maintain clear technical documentation for workflows and integrations. Required Skills & Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience). - 5-7 years of experience in automation, integrations, or backend engineering. - Strong understanding of APIs, webhooks, JSON, and data flows. - Hands-on experience with at least one workflow automation platform (e.g., Zapier, Make.com, UiPath, Blue Prism). - Solid programming knowledge in JavaScript (preferred) or Python. - Familiarity with SQL for data manipulation and queries. - Good written and spoken communication skills. - Quick learner with the ability to pick up new platforms like n8n. Preferred Skills (Nice to Have): - Experience with Docker and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP). - Exposure to AI/LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini). - Knowledge of ETL pipelines or workflow orchestration tools.
