Automation and Software Test Engineer

Role Overview: As an Automation & Software Test Engineer at Hitachi Energy, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust automated test scripts to optimize value for Hitachi Energy customers across markets. Your responsibilities will include analyzing product requirements, developing automation test strategies, integrating tests into the CI/CD pipeline, executing tests, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the continuous improvement of the test automation framework. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks. - Analyze product requirements to identify test cases suitable for automation and manual execution. - Develop and implement automation test strategies and plans. - Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline for continuous testing. - Execute automated tests, analyze results, and report defects with clear documentation. - Perform manual testing when automation is not feasible. - Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA team members for comprehensive test coverage. - Monitor and troubleshoot automated test failures, working with development to resolve issues. - Participate in code reviews of test automation scripts to ensure quality. - Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in software testing. - Write documentation for data processing to ensure reproducibility. - Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Up to 4 years of experience as an Automation Tester or QA Automation Engineer. - Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies. - Proficiency in at least one programming language for automation (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, C#). - Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Cypress, Appium). - Familiarity with API testing tools and version control systems. - Knowledge of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Proficiency in spoken and written English language.,
