Job Area: Engineering Group, Engineering Group > Software Test Engineering General Summary: Responsibilities: The engineers role would be to support testing efforts for XR sw stack and adjacent technologies like game/3d app dev kits (unity 3d, unreal engine), connectivity (usb, wifi 6, Wifi 6E), multimedia(video, camera, graphics, audio, display). Primary responsibilities will be to write and execute testcases, develop test applications on Android/Linux/Windows systems and develop automation scrips using python/C/C++. Evaluate technologies, systems, and devices through testing, logging and analysis. Candidate must be able to create test environments using software and hardware tools. Develop test procedures, execute tests, and isolate problems. Develop automation systems for executing tests and parsing results. Develop app/test content for exercising new features. Actively study user experience to improve customer experience on Qualcomm MM solution across ARM based chipset productThe Engineer must have a good understanding of Augmented/Virtual Reality technologies and multimedia technologies of Graphics, Video and Camera. Required Qualifications: Experience working with and testing applications on Windows, Linux and Android. Expertise on Windows and Linux OS concepts and tools- bat script, linux commands. Expert in C/C++/Python programming Expertise in Augmented/Virtual Reality technologies- 6DOF tracking, OpenXR, OpenVR, WebXR Outstanding problem-solving skills Excellent communication and team working skills. Physical presence in Qualcomm Bangalore office is expected Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Test Engineering or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Test Engineering or related work experience. OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. 1+ year of work or academic experience with Software Test or System Test, developing and automating test plans and/or tools (e.g., Source Code Control Systems, Continuous Integration Tools, and Bug Tracking Tools). Preferred additional qualifications: Experience with development of 3D experiences- games/apps using SDKs like Unity and Unreal.
