An automation tester designs, develops, and executes automated test scripts using tools like Selenium or Appium to ensure software quality, identifying and documenting defects. Responsibilities also include collaborating with developers, maintaining test frameworks, and analyzing test results to reduce manual testing and streamline development processes. Key qualifications often include experience in software development methodologies, programming languages like Python or Java, and strong problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

Test Automation: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to test web and mobile applications.
Execution & Analysis: Execute automated test scripts and analyze the results to identify defects, bugs, and anomalies.
Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product teams, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and resolve issues.
Defect Management: Document and track defects using project-specific tools, and validate fixes for reported issues.
Strategy & Planning: Contribute to the creation of automation test strategies and plans, ensuring they align with project goals.
Regression Testing: Perform regression tests after code changes to ensure existing functionality remains intact.
Tooling & Environment: Configure test environments, set up testing tools, and ensure the smooth operation of the testing infrastructure.
