Job Purpose: As a member of the Network Operations team, you will be responsible for providing 24x7 support for the organization's global production network infrastructure. Your primary focus will be on performing proactive routines to prevent service outages and minimize their impact. You will collaborate with colleagues in Operations and Engineering to ensure efficient handling of service requests and connectivity issues. Responsibilities: - Incident Management: Conduct proactive checkouts and monitoring to prevent service outages. Escalate troubleshooting and fault isolation as needed to restore service promptly. - Operational Readiness for New Services: Complete checklists to support the pre-production deployment of network services. Ensure that all network components are updated, perform proactive routines for optimal network health, understand service dependencies, and execute established recovery procedures. - Change Management Planning and Configuration Implementation: Coordinate changes at the Change Advisory Board (CAB) and conduct quality reviews with Engineering. Implement tasks assigned to Network Operations and provide support for those implemented by Network Engineering. - Service Requests, Network Maintenance, and Operational Support: Handle requests for analysis or support. Represent Network Operations in strategic initiatives such as vendor service level reviews, Asset Management, and Capacity Management. Coordinate and support proactive maintenance activities to maintain infrastructure health. - Process Improvement: Take ownership of specific tasks assigned by management to enhance operational support for technology, processes, tools, or services. Knowledge and Experience: - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or a related field. Alternatively, 3+ years of relevant experience in the absence of educational credentials. - Proficiency in routing protocols and concepts (e.g., OSPF, BGP). - Familiarity with TCP/IP, Layer 2 and 3 switching. - Strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment. - Willingness to provide support during weekends and off-hours. - Preferred certifications: JNCIA, CCNA, or equivalent. - Experience in the financial industry is advantageous. Skills: - Monitor new events to identify and open incidents promptly. - Conduct routine network analysis using scripted and automated checks. - Coordinate activities with vendors, including hot hands support. - Engage with advanced-level engineering support. - Develop and propose solutions for the knowledge base. - Proficient in multicast and troubleshooting techniques. - Ability to utilize management tools effectively.,
