As an Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager in the Automation Engineering Department of the Production Engineering Division at our Gurgaon/Manesar location, you will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative solutions and emerging technologies for plant equipment. You will work within the Industrial Automation Innovation Team, which supports your creative ideas to achieve the production goals of the organization. Your role will involve applying new and emerging technologies to factory equipment to achieve complete digitalization of the manufacturing and assembly lines. Reporting to the DPM, you will be expected to analyze business requirements, design, prototype, and build control systems, software, AI, or IoT solutions for automatic equipment in industrial plants. Additionally, you will be responsible for conceptualization, costing, calculations, electrical designing, parts selection, and engineering BOM preparation. Proficiency in Electrical/Electronics Designing tools such as E-Plan or Autodesk Eagle is required. You will manage projects throughout their execution to ensure success based on adherence to standards of scope, budget, customer experience, and timeline. This will involve coordinating with various stakeholders both internally (mechanical design, electrical design, software, commercial, etc.) and externally (different manufacturing and assembly plants of MSIL) to ensure timely execution and customer satisfaction with each solution. Identifying areas of continuous improvement and driving tactical and strategic enhancements, such as new tech integration, data generation, and energy monitoring, for different automatic equipment like material handling equipment and measurement test equipment will be part of your responsibilities. In terms of technical competencies, you should have knowledge and understanding of technical engineering best practices, exposure to managing web-based and cloud-native projects in the industrial domain, and understanding of various Industrial automation or Network Management Technologies. Experience in new technologies like Edge Computing, AI/ML, IoT, and familiarity with tools such as Power BI, Statistical Analysis tools, Python, R, .NET, C#, and AWS Cloud environment are preferred. Your behavioral competencies should include achievement orientation, being a team player, networking skills, objectivity, excellent interpersonal skills, and effective communication and presentation skills. Additionally, having a strong execution orientation, problem-solving approach, and being quick to learn and adopt new technologies and software will be beneficial for this role.,
