Role Overview: As a Senior Technical Support Specialist at Autodesk, you will be joining a team of tech enthusiasts dedicated to assisting customers in optimizing their Autodesk products. Your primary focus will be on engaging with customers from the Manufacturing community, specifically providing solutions, direction, and troubleshooting for Inventor Professional. Key Responsibilities: - Resolve customer issues reported to Autodesk via chat, phone, web, online forums, and other channels - Provide prompt, friendly, and efficient assistance to Autodesk customers regarding various issues and questions related to product features and usage - Research, verify, and document product issues and solutions in concise articles for our Knowledge Base or internal case management system - Prioritize and escalate critical issues, ensuring compliance with service level agreements - Document support interactions in the company-wide case management system - Proactively manage personal backlog of support requests - Assist peer team members and demonstrate strong escalation handling skills - Manage customer expectations by providing timely updates on progress and staying informed about improvements in supported products - Contribute to the fundamental development and maintenance of knowledge base quality - Collaborate with product management and development teams to drive product improvements Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree or diploma in a related field OR equivalent product experience with AutoCAD in a relevant industry - Minimum of 6 years of industry experience - Competent knowledge in Autodesk AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT - Experience with at least one of the AutoCAD verticals is mandatory: AutoCAD Architecture, AutoCAD Electrical, AutoCAD Map 3D, AutoCAD Plant 3D, or AutoCAD MEP - Demonstrated ability to take ownership of customer issues, troubleshoot effectively, and resolve problems or escalate when necessary - Exceptional team player with strong customer service, troubleshooting, and analytical skills - Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; additional language skills are advantageous - Ability to build strong customer relationships, identify opportunities for customer benefit, and deliver solutions to meet their expectations - Proven flexibility and ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment Additional Details about Autodesk: At Autodesk, amazing things are created every day using our software, ranging from innovative buildings and eco-friendly vehicles to cutting-edge factories and blockbuster movies. Qualification: Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Certified training in AutoCAD LT or equivalent drafting software. Strong understanding of engineering drawings and standards (IRC, AASHTO, BIS, etc.). Experience: 3-7 years of hands-on experience in preparation of General Arrangement Drawings (GADs) for roads, highways, and structural components (e.g., culverts, flyovers, bridges, retaining walls). Proficient in interpreting design inputs (alignment, profile, cross-sections) from highway design engineers and translating them into precise and compliant drawings. Experience working in infrastructure development projects, preferably under NHAI, MoRTH, or similar standards. Key Skills: Expertise in AutoCAD LT for 2D drafting. Understanding of topographical surveys, utility plans, and land acquisition drawings. Familiarity with project documentation, revision control, and sheet setup as per client standards. Ability to prepare drawings such as: o Plan and Profile Drawings o Typical Cross-Sections o Structure Layouts (GADs) o Road Signage and Marking Plans o Drainage and Utility Layouts o Understand and Process Topography Survey Drawings as per IRC: SP: 19 o Understand & Prepare the Drawing Scales & Layout Manager Team Collaboration & Leadership: Proven ability to work efficiently as part of a multi-disciplinary design team. Strong coordination with design engineers, project managers, and QA teams. Demonstrated leadership skills in guiding junior CAD operators, managing drawing timelines, and ensuring compliance with project specifications. Able to take ownership of drawing deliverables and proactively resolve drafting issues.
