TD engineers (within the Energy Resources BU of Stantec), design, and deliver engineering projects primarily in transmission and distribution, power generation and substation sectors. They will also get engaged with OG, mining, and other heavy industrial process plants as and when required. A Career Level 3 engineer carries out engineering assignments of moderate to complex level. Under direct supervision and direction of a Lead / senior engineer, this role is responsible for a project or part of a project requiring knowledge of conceptual design, FEED / outline design, detailed design for transmission and distribution projects. The role requires supporting other engineers by performing the design assignments in coordination with other team members and ensure that project outcomes in terms of schedule, technical and quality standards etc., meet both the client and Stantec expectations. Key Accountabilities: Preparing plans, specifications, and design packages for transmission line projects. Producing technical presentations and design drawings. Perform detailed studies, prepare plans, transmission line modeling and design tasks associated with utilities or other types of projects, under the supervision of a regional lead / project engineer. Optioneering and outline design relating to Transmission Distribution and Industrial projects. Preparation of technical reports/ drawings sketches. With guidance, prepare designs for site grading and site servicing including water distribution, sanitary sewers, storm water management, and erosion control design.
