AutoCAD Designer

Job Title:

Job Summary:

We are seeking Trained AutoCAD Designer with experience in creating 2D and 3D designs for structural steel buildings, silos, and bulk material handling systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing standards used in heavy fabrication and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D AutoCAD drawings for fabrication and installation of structural buildings, silos, chutes, conveyors, hoppers, and other bulk material handling equipment.
• Develop general arrangement drawings (GA), detailed fabrication drawings, and bill of materials (BOM).
• Collaborate with the design, engineering, and production teams to ensure accurate and feasible drawings.
• Modify and revise existing drawings as per design changes or client feedback.
• Maintain drawing and document control in accordance with project and company standards.
• Ensure all designs comply with industry codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Conduct site measurements or coordinate with project/site teams when necessary.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Relevant AutoCAD design experience in manufacturing or industrial projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D essential; 3D preferable). Knowledge of SolidWorks or similar software is an added advantage.
• Experience in structural steel design and fabrication drawing is a must.
• Familiarity with material specifications, welding symbols, tolerances, and machining symbols.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

• Preferred:

• Exposure to silo design, structural shed layout, or bulk material handling projects.
• Experience working closely with fabrication shops or production units.
