Job Summary: We are seeking a diligent, skilled, and safety-conscious Mechanic to join our team in Nashik. The Mechanic will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing various [e.g., vehicles, industrial machinery, heavy equipment, specific plant machinery]. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to quality workmanship and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Diagnosis & Troubleshooting: Perform thorough inspections of vehicles/machinery to identify mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues. Diagnose faults accurately using diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and by interpreting repair manuals, schematics, or client descriptions. Communicate findings to the supervisor/service advisor and recommend appropriate repairs. Repair & Maintenance: Execute precise repairs, replacements, and adjustments of parts and components, including engines, transmissions, braking systems, steering, suspension, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems. Perform routine preventive maintenance (PM) services such as oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and general tune-ups. Ensure all repair work adheres to manufacturer specifications, industry standards, and company quality benchmarks. Assembly & Disassembly: Efficiently assemble and disassemble complex mechanical units or components as required for repair or overhaul. Documentation & Reporting: Accurately record all work performed, including parts used, labor hours, and technical findings on job cards or in the designated system. Report any additional issues discovered during maintenance or repair work. Tool & Equipment Management: Properly use, clean, and maintain all tools, diagnostic equipment, and workshop machinery. Ensure all equipment is in good working condition and report any malfunctions or need for calibration. Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and best practices within the workshop environment. Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Properly dispose of waste materials (e.g., used oil, parts) according to environmental guidelines.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting knowledge. Ability to use computers including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Ability to read and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams and mechanical drawings. Ability to read and interpret electrical and electronic schematics, drawings and sketches. General mechanical knowledge and skill with hand tools for assembly and disassembly of equipment. General electrical knowledge and skill using digital volt meters. Experience supporting Preventative Maintenance (PM) programs. Ability to analyze problems and interpret technical information necessary to make required repairs. Ability to inspect, operate and test production equipment to diagnose malfunctions, make necessary repairs and validate corrective actions all while strictly adhering to all safety rules and procedures. Ability to interface with equipment suppliers and other professional services to coordinate repair work. Must be proficient in spoken and written English. Must be self-directed and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and willing to take on new responsibilities which may be outside of normal day-to-day work. Physical Requirements Full hand, arm and leg mechanical dexterity and coordination. Ability to frequently lift 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand or stoop for prolonged periods of time and ability to climb ladders. Full or fully corrected vision, correct depth and color perception, and ability to perform occasional close work in sometimes low light conditions. Adequate hearing and speaking for good communications, troubleshooting, telephonic and electronic notification and situational awareness in an industrial environment. Working Conditions Ability to work safely in p otentially hazardous conditions which may include, but are not limited to: o Repetitive motion activities, work in very awkward positions o Bending, twisting, climbing ladders o Exposure to dust, temperature excursions, humidity, noise, household and industrial chemicals, solvents and some fumes. o Working with/near/on hand tools, powered hand tools, machine shop tools and rotating equipment. o Routine requirements to wear personal protective equipment such as gloves, eye and hearing protection. Qualifications Education and Experience High School diploma Minimum of 7 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Valuable Qualifications or Experiences Associate s degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent. Ability to generate sketches by hand or 2D CAD Programmable Logic Control troubleshooting experience. Working as an electrician, plumber, HVAC repair technician, automobile mechanic Working with high pressure systems or vacuum systems. Working with presses, punch tools, progressive dies. Knowledge of National Electric and/or National Fire Protection Codes Understanding of Plant electrical systems, including DC voltage and AC voltage from 24V to 480V. Understanding of Plant mechanical systems such as compressed air supply, cooling water loops.
