The Automobile Technician is responsible for carrying out vehicle maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work efficiently and accurately to ensure customer satisfaction and smooth service operations. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on vehicles (petrol, diesel, and EV as applicable). Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using diagnostic tools and equipment. Carry out engine tune-ups, oil changes, brake adjustments, wheel alignments, and other mechanical jobs. Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and workshop facilities. Maintain records of work performed and spare parts used. Conduct quality checks on completed jobs before vehicle delivery. Follow safety standards, manufacturer guidelines, and company SOPs. Report any additional repairs required or unusual findings to the Service Advisor/Supervisor. Maintain cleanliness and discipline in the workshop area. Requirements: Education: ITI / Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering. Experience: 1-3 years of experience as a technician in an automobile workshop (TATA, Maruti, Hyundai, or similar brands preferred). Skills: Good technical knowledge of vehicle systems. Ability to use diagnostic tools and service equipment. Problem-solving and time-management skills. Teamwork and a positive attitude toward learning.
