As a Principal Piping Designer at our company, you will play a crucial role in the success of your team and related projects. You will be responsible for effectively exchanging ideas and information related to Piping Design, working autonomously while following established procedures, and acting as a lead to coordinate the work of others. Your contributions will include proposing improvements to processes and methods within the Piping Design discipline. Key Responsibilities: - Perform Design and Engineering process facilities within specified timelines while maintaining safety, quality, and constructability standards. - Develop 3D Models and ensure clash-free models in coordination with all other disciplines" requirements. - Approve drawings including plot plans as per project specifications and McDermott Procedures. - Set priorities, organize work, and forecast resource requirements when acting as a Lead Designer. - Lead the design team to complete tasks within the planned schedule and budget, in accordance with standards and project-specific procedures. - Act as the project-based discipline point of contact in communications with Project Team, Client, vendors, and subcontractors. - Coordinate all activities within your discipline and interface with other disciplines effectively. - Identify issues promptly, raise change notifications, and support less-experienced team members. - Ensure work is carried out in accordance with McDermott requirements, Client, and Statutory Design Codes, focusing on Health and Safety Policies. Qualifications: - Minimum 10 years of experience in oil and gas performing Pre-FEED, FEED, and Detailed Design. - High School graduate with a diploma in Mechanical Design or equivalent experience. - Detailed knowledge of 3D CAD systems including E3D or SP3D. - Familiarity with AutoCAD and associated industry standards and specifications. - Capable of Leading projects and understanding process equipment maintenance and operation. - Flexibility for business traveling/assignments and knowledge of QA Systems.
