Auto CAD Designer

You are a detail-oriented and skilled AutoCAD Designer with experience in retail site development, joining our growing design team. Your main responsibility will be to produce accurate and detailed CAD drawings for new store builds, remodels, site plans, and permitting documents in various retail environments. Your responsibilities will include preparing site plans, floor plans, elevations, and construction documents using AutoCAD. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to develop site-specific retail layouts. It is crucial for you to interpret client branding and space planning requirements into functional retail designs and ensure compliance with building codes, zoning laws, and permitting requirements. Throughout project development and construction phases, you will revise and update plans as necessary and maintain project documentation and drawing archives. Additionally, you will coordinate with civil and MEP consultants to integrate external plans and be well-versed in mall department services for brand sites. Your qualifications for this role include proficiency in AutoCAD (2018 or newer), with at least 5 years of experience in CAD drafting, preferably in retail or commercial site design. You should have familiarity with retail planning, zoning codes, ADA compliance, and permitting processes. Attention to detail and accuracy is essential, along with the ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings. Experience with Revit, SketchUp, or other 3D tools is a plus, and a degree or certification in Drafting, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.,
