Role Overview: As a Lead Software Engineer at FC Global Services India LLP, you will lead the development and maintenance of API Gateway APIGEE and be responsible for designing and building secured APIs. You will be a part of the API Enablement team, a community of professionals dedicated to designing, building, and maintaining API platform solutions for the organization. Your role will be vital for Enterprise API Platforms Operational Excellence, supporting the API Gateway for the bank and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities: - End-to-End API Integration: Assist in the full lifecycle of API development, ensuring robust and secure integrations across diverse systems. - API Design & Documentation: Create detailed API specifications and design documents, enforcing API management best practices and standards. - API Security & Integration: Build secure, scalable integration APIs to interface with various systems and services. - CI/CD Implementation: Set up and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines. - System Gap Analysis: Identify gaps between current systems and desired solutions, developing actionable roadmaps. - Software Development Lifecycle: Design, develop, and enhance software solutions, ensuring code quality and maintainability. - Project Ownership & Mentorship: Take ownership of projects, mentor junior engineers, and foster a collaborative environment. - Agile Methodology: Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality solutions. Qualifications Required: Functional Skills: - Team Player: Support peers, team, and department management. - Communication: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. - Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and proactive solutions to improve quality. - Partnership and Collaboration: Develop and maintain partnerships with business and IT stakeholders. - Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks. Technical/Business Skills: - 5+ years of hands-on experience in API development with a deep understanding of API design and implementation. - Expertise in API management platforms such as APIGEE and web service protocols. - Familiarity with authentication/authorization protocols such as OAuth, SSO/SAML. - Experience in GitLab version control and CI/CD processes. - Understanding of service orchestration, messaging technologies, and microservices architectures. - Solid knowledge of OpenAPI Specifications (Swagger) and API interface design. - Exposure to SOAP and traditional web services is a plus. - Good to have: Java and Spring Boot, Python or NodeJS, Unit testing frameworks (JUnit). - Experience working in the Financial Industry is a plus.,
