Audit & Direct Tax Compliance Manager

As a Taxation Specialist at our esteemed organization, you will be responsible for various key duties related to corporate income tax management and compliance. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing and filing corporate income tax returns in a timely manner, ensuring accurate computation of taxable income as per the Income Tax Act, and monitoring compliance with all provisions under the Income Tax Act, 1961. You will be expected to handle the preparation and reconciliation of tax provisions as per books vs tax computation and manage tax assessments, responding to departmental notices as well as representing the company before tax authorities when necessary. Additionally, ensuring compliance and timely filing of TDS returns and issuance of TDS certificates, coordinating with external auditors for statutory and tax audit processes, and preparing audit schedules and financial data for audit purposes will be part of your role. Your responsibilities will also include ensuring timely and accurate filing of the tax audit report with all annexures, assisting in internal audit processes, reviewing and implementing internal controls relevant to financial reporting and tax compliance, and maintaining updated documentation of tax positions, working papers, and audit trails. Furthermore, you will be tasked with preparing MIS reports on tax compliance status, monitoring changes in tax laws and regulations, liaising with tax consultants and legal advisors for complex tax positions and litigations, identifying tax-saving opportunities, and supporting management in decision-making by providing insights on tax implications of various transactions.
