Audit Associate (area Chalakudy)

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and responsible Concurrent Audit Associate to plan and conduct concurrent audits of nationalised bank branches. The role requires hands-on experience in bank audits (minimum 3 years), especially in concurrent audits, with the ability to lead and coordinate audit teams, identify irregularities, and ensure completion of audits within defined timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct concurrent audits of assigned bank branches strictly in line with the service agreement and audit scope defined by the bank.
• Coordinate and guide audit team members to ensure timely completion of assignments.
• Identify income leakages, deficiencies in documentation, and lapses in internal control systems.
• Ensure strict adherence to RBI guidelines, circulars, and internal bank policies.
• Review loan sanctions, disbursements, credit documentation, and security compliance.
• Detect and report irregularities, operational deficiencies, and non-compliances promptly.
• Prepare structured audit reports with clear findings and recommendations.
• Follow up on rectification of previous audit observations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Bank Audits, with specific exposure to Concurrent Audits of Nationalised Banks.
• Strong knowledge of banking operations, RBI circulars, and regulatory norms.

Skills & Competencies

• Ability to plan, manage, and execute audit assignments independently.
• Leadership skills to coordinate and supervise audit teams.
• Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and report-writing skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel/Word).
