Audio Technician

Location: Ahmedabad, Gujrat, India

Overview:

The Audiometry Technician will conduct hearing assessments, operate audiology equipment, and support specialists in identifying and preventing age-related hearing issues. This role ensures accurate diagnosis, customer comfort, and contributes to multidisciplinary care plans for longevity.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine hearing tests including Pure Tone Audiometry (PTA), Impedance Audiometry, Speech Audiometry, OAE, and other relevant procedures.
• Prepare customers for tests, explain procedures, and ensure comfort during assessments.
• Calibrate and maintain audiology equipment in compliance with quality standards.
• Maintain accurate customer records and test reports in the health information system.
• Educate customers on hearing conservation, preventive screenings, and the importance of early detection.
• Support awareness programs on hearing health as part of longevity-focused initiatives.
• Follow safety, hygiene, and ethical standards at all times.

Qualifications:

• Diploma / B.Sc. in Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology / Hearing, Language & Speech (DHLS, BASLP, or equivalent).
• Certification or registration as per statutory/local requirements.
• 1–3+ years of experience in audiometry testing (experience in preventive or geriatric settings preferred).
• Proficiency in handling audiometry, tympanometry, and related equipment.
• Good communication skills and customer empathy.
