Position Title: Purchase Executive Location: Ahmedabad HO Department: Purchase Experience: 24 Years Qualification: B.E. Mechanical Industry: Chemical Manufacturing Job Summary: We are seeking a competent and detail-oriented Purchase Executive for our Chemical Manufacturing Plant for Ahmedabad HO . The role involves managing end-to-end procurement activities including Capex and Engineering items , ensuring timely availability of quality materials at optimal cost. Key Responsibilities: Manage procurement of Capex, Engineering, and Plant Maintenance materials as per operational and project requirements. Identify and develop reliable suppliers/vendors for technical and engineering items. Float inquiries, obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements , and issue purchase orders . Conduct price negotiations and finalize orders in alignment with cost, quality, and delivery standards. Coordinate with Engineering, Maintenance, Projects, and Accounts teams for order follow-ups and payments. Maintain proper procurement documentation, supplier data, and purchase records in ERP . Monitor delivery schedules and ensure timely availability of materials. Assist in cost optimization initiatives and vendor performance evaluation. Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and statutory requirements . Key Skills & Competencies: Sound knowledge of Capex & Engineering procurement in a manufacturing setup. Understanding of technical specifications, equipment, and plant machinery . Strong negotiation, analytical, and vendor management skills. Proficiency in ERP / MS Office . Good coordination and communication abilities. Ability to handle multiple procurement categories and tight deadlines.
