Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Design and Development Engineer located in Ambattur. The Design and Development Engineer will be responsible for tasks that include machine design, product design, mechanical engineering, testing, and research and development (R&D). Daily responsibilities involve developing innovative solutions, improving existing products, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals. We’re looking for an experienced Design & Process Development Engineer to lead the design of forged components, develop tooling, and optimise manufacturing processes for world-class quality and efficiency. What You’ll Do: Design forging dies, tooling & process flows using CAD & simulation software. Optimise process sequences (upsetting, extrusion, coining, etc.). Conduct trials, validate processes & set machine parameters. Collaborate with production & quality teams for seamless product launches. What You Bring : 3–8 years in cold forging design & process development. Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA & simulation tools (DEFORM/QForm). Strong knowledge of tooling, materials & process optimisation. Degree in Mechanical / Metallurgy / Manufacturing Engineering.
