As a Software Development Engineer 1 focused on Cloud Automation at Astuto, you will play a crucial role in developing advanced workflows and resource schedulers to enhance cloud efficiency and drive cost savings. Your expertise in Infrastructure as Code, Custom Automation & Runbooks, and AWS API & SDK Integration will directly contribute to achieving operational excellence across AWS estates. In this role, you will design, author, and maintain Terraform modules and CloudFormation templates for changemanagement tasks, ensuring idempotent changes that are safely applied. Additionally, you will develop Python scripts and AWS Lambda functions to orchestrate resource queries, scheduling, remediation, and cleanup tasks, packaging them as serverless workflows for nonstandard use cases. Your responsibilities will also include leveraging AWS SDKs to build bespoke tooling, implementing error handling, retry logic, logging, and notifications for all automated operations.
