As a Stargazing Expert at Astroport, you will have the exciting opportunity to share your passion for astronomy and space science with others. Previous teaching or public speaking experience would be advantageous. The selection process for this position will involve four rounds of interviews, including HR interaction, testing of astronomy knowledge, assessment of presentation skills, and final suitability evaluation. Upon selection, you will undergo a 12-month training period with hands-on field experience, accommodation, and food provided by the company. An accommodation and food deposit of 15,000 is required during training, which is refundable/adjustable. Following the training period, a probation period will be initiated with a salary of 25,000 plus non-monetary allowances. Upon successful completion of probation, the salary will increase to 35,000 with the same allowances. There will be opportunities to earn additional incentives through extra activities after probation. The Stargazing Expert (SGX) role at Astroport involves conducting astronomy-based experiences for guests at various locations. You must be flexible to work at different sites, travel frequently, and be available during evenings/nights for stargazing activities. Your key responsibilities will involve: - Operating telescopes, binoculars, and tracking devices for celestial observations. - Conducting live stargazing sessions, explaining constellations and astronomical events engagingly. - Arranging public observation nights, corporate events, and educational sessions. - Safely handling, setting up, and maintaining observation equipment. - Engaging with guests, answering questions, and enhancing their astronomy experience. - Maintaining a positive and professional attitude and collecting guest feedback. - Assisting in event setup, coordinating with teams, and managing crowd safety. To qualify for this role, you should ideally be a graduate in Science, Astronomy, Physics, or related fields. Basic astronomy knowledge and a passion for stargazing are essential. JOB DESCRIPTION Curriculum Technologist Intern (Space Science & Astronomy) Position - Curriculum Technologist Intern - Space Science & Astronomy Reporting to (Primary)Curriculum Head Parallel reporting Chief Executive Officer Responsible for Design educational materials such Digital contents (Videos & Presentations), Lesson plans, Text books and all other forms of educational contents with hands-on activities that clearly communicate Space science and relevant emerging technology to different student age groups 6 18.Technical skills Strong Understanding of Space Science: In-depth knowledge of topics such as the solar system, stars, galaxies, constellations, space exploration and astrophysics. Educational Technology Tools: Proficiency in using tools like simulations, planetarium software (e.g., Stellarium), space education apps, and interactive- learning platforms (e.g., NASA Eyes, Universe Sandbox).
