candidate will be responsible for conducting advanced orbital mechanics simulations,
optimizing orbital trajectories, and leveraging state-of-the-art tools for mission planning and
analysis.
?Design and analyse satellite orbits and model relevant manoeuvres for a variety of
missions, including LEO, MEO, GEO, and interplanetary trajectories.
?Develop and optimize orbital transfer strategies, station-keeping manoeuvres, and
end-of-life de-orbit planning.
?Perform high-fidelity simulations of satellite missions using self-programmed
algorithms and trajectory models required for FoV studies, illumination and energy
balance as dictated by the requirements of GNC, Power and Thermal subsystems.
?Collaborate with systems engineering teams to integrate orbital designs into mission
architectures.
?Conduct trade studies to evaluate mission scenarios, orbit selection, and propulsion
needs.
?Generate detailed reports and visualizations of mission analyses to support decision-
making in the mission operations of the spacecraft.
?Stay updated on emerging trends in astrodynamics, orbit optimization algorithms, and
mission design techniques.
? Masters degree in Aerospace Engineering, Astrodynamics, Physics,
Mathematics or a related field. A Ph.D. in the relevant field is a plus.
?Strong expertise in orbital mechanics, including advanced perturbation theory, multi-
body dynamics, and relative motion.
design, optimal control theory, delta-v minimization, and constellation management.
equivalent.
?Familiarity with numerical optimization libraries (e.g., SciPy, CPLEX, or Gurobi) and
astrodynamics-specific toolkits (e.g., Orekit or Poliastro) is highly desirable.
?2-8 years of hands-on experience in orbit simulation, mission analysis, optimization or
related fields.
?Demonstrated ability to develop custom scripts and workflows for mission-specific
requirements.
?Experience with spacecraft subsystems and their impact on orbit design (e.g.,
propulsion, power, thermal).
?Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
?Excellent communication skills to present technical results effectively.
?Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
?Experience with mission planning for CubeSats, small satellites, constellations or flight formation.
