The candidate will be responsible for the research, development, characterization, and optimization of advanced materials used in automotive (ICE & EV) applications. He will contribute to the development of next-generation vehicle systems by designing and optimizing materials for improving aesthetics along with lightweighting, durability, thermal management , and electrical functionality in high-performance automotive environments. Key Responsibilities: Develop, test, and evaluate polymer-based materials , including elastomers, thermoplastics, and thermosets. Collaborate with design and engineering teams to translate material requirements into high-performance solutions for applications such as ICE vehicles, EV battery, motor & electrical systems, lightweight body structures, and electronic enclosures. Collaborate with other cross-functional teams including RM supplier, venders for sourcing, process engineering, and quality. Conduct mechanical, thermal, and chemical testing in alignment with automotive industry standards (e.g., SAE, ASTM, ISO, OEM-specific specs). Document the findings and prepare technical reports, presentations Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and regulations in materials science and polymer chemistry. Qualifications : Bachelor s or Master s degree in Materials Science, Polymer Engineering, Chemical Engineering , or related field. 4+ years of experience in polymers, elastomers, adhesives, &/or composite materials . Strong knowledge of structure property relationships in polymers, composites & adhesives. Along with raw material supplier base & basic understanding of costs . Experience with material formulation, processing (extrusion, molding, dispensing, mixing, etc), and scale-up . Proficient in lab instrumentation, data analysis, and reporting. Your Role System & Solutions, India (Edwards, India) is looking for Project Engineer You will report to the Team Lead -Project Engineering This position is for Oil & Gas & Power segment of Vacuum Pumps The primary goals of this position include: Responsibilities include monitoring and improving engineering team KPI s including quality cost, applied hours, project costs, and on-time engineering releases of parts, BOM and documents Responsible for technical aspects of assigned projects Technical responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Issue and maintain the project specific Schedule & progress in a timely fashion Perform engineering calculations required to ensure the safe and successful operation of Vacuum Pump Packages Review of P&IDs, GA Drawings & other design documents Prepare RFQs, drawings/datasheets & approvals of bought-out items involved in the package Provide robust technical assistance to the Project Engineering Team Lead to ensure customers are properly supported during order execution Attend customer meetings as required Prompt communication with the Project Engineering Team Lead & Manager on any issues that may potentially impact the project cost, quality, or delivery Coordinate design interfaces with the appropriate Core Engineering Team to ensure a cohesive design result Conduct design review meetings to ensure the completeness and the accuracy of engineering deliverables and ensure designs comply with relevant work instructions Subject experts and specialists are to be consulted and/or included where appropriate Continuously strive to improve the engineering process an eliminate sources of error or delays Maintain accurate and accessible project records, which conform to quality procedures Travel, including international travel, is required as per project requirement Comply with Safety Rules, Regulations and OSHA Requirements To succeed, you will need Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Mechanical from an accredited college or university 3+ years experience working in an engineering & project execution environment Working knowledge of Liquid Ring Vacuum Pumps & Dry Vacuum Pumps & Packages and related technical specifications or Equivalent Rotating Equipment Packages like centrifugal Pumps, compressors, Steam Turbines etc Sound knowledge of Static Equipments like Heat Exchangers, Pressure Vessels, Filters etc Sound knowledge of Centrifugal pumps with API seal plans & Screw Pumps, Electric Motors, Couplings etc Sound Knowledge of Instruments (Gauges & Transmitters), Control Valves, On-Off Valves Sound Knowledge of Piping & piping items like fittings, flanges etc
