Asst Professor for IT (Hardware)

The Assistant Professor – IT (Hardware) will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, contributing to curriculum development, engaging in research, and participating in departmental and institutional activities. The candidate should have expertise in hardware components, embedded systems, networking, and troubleshooting, with a focus on practical and applied learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses related to hardware systems, computer architecture, networking, and embedded systems.
• Design and develop laboratory sessions, hands-on exercises, and projects to enhance students’ practical skills.
• Guide and mentor students in academic projects, internships, and research.
• Participate in curriculum development and continuous improvement of courses.
• Engage in research, publish papers, and collaborate on hardware-related projects.
• Provide technical support for lab equipment and ensure smooth functioning of hardware labs.
• Organize workshops, seminars, and guest lectures to enrich student learning.
• Collaborate with industry partners for internships and applied research projects.
• Perform administrative duties such as student assessments, record-keeping, and academic planning.
• Stay updated with advancements in hardware technologies and integrate them into teaching.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics, or related fields with specialization in hardware systems.
• Preferably a Ph.D. in relevant domain is desirable.
• Proven teaching experience in hardware-related subjects.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, microprocessors, embedded systems, networking protocols, IoT devices, etc.
• Ability to work with lab equipment, perform diagnostics, and troubleshoot hardware problems.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills.
• Research aptitude and publications in hardware-related areas are a plus.

Skills & Competencies:

• Hands-on experience with circuit design, PCB layout tools, and embedded platforms
• Familiarity with server hardware, networking equipment, and maintenance procedures.
• Ability to integrate theoretical concepts with practical applications.
• Problem-solving and analytical thinking.
• Teamwork and collaboration with faculty, staff, and industry partners.

Experience:

• 1–3 years of teaching or industry experience preferred.
• Experience in handling laboratory equipment and student projects will be an added advantage.

Remuneration:

• As per institutional norms and candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
