As a merchandiser at Cult, you will be responsible for managing the flow of goods to ensure they are available at the right time and in the right quantity to meet consumer demand. Your key responsibilities include coordinating production order management and costing, processing orders, forecasting and planning, and assortment building. In terms of production order management and costing, you will need to have a strong understanding of the apparel production process and costing. This will involve coordinating tasks with vendors and the sourcing team, placing orders, and ensuring timely delivery while adhering to quality parameters and production timelines. For order processing, you will receive and review purchase orders, coordinate with stakeholders such as warehouse and logistics for efficient order fulfillment, and keep track of order status to update stakeholders on delivery timelines. In forecasting and planning, you will utilize tools and techniques to anticipate future inventory needs, prevent stockouts or overstock situations, and adjust procurement plans based on market trends, seasonality, and promotional activities. As for assortment building, you will analyze historical sales data and market trends to create seasonal assortments across categories and gender. You will also need to understand pricing strategies based on competition surveys and past trends. To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Supply Chain Management, or textile/apparel technology. Proven experience in merchandising, procurement, sourcing, or buying, preferably in a private label/apparel brand, is required. Strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, knowledge of knitted and woven garments, activewear segment understanding, attention to detail, multitasking abilities, prioritization skills, problem-solving capabilities, and a minimum of 4-5 years of experience are essential. Experience in a startup environment is a plus but not mandatory.,
