Associate / Senior Associate - Indirect Tax

As a seasoned TAX professional at Alvarez & Marsal in Mumbai, India, you will be part of a team that specializes in providing practical tax advice to corporate and private equity clients throughout the transaction life cycle. Your role will involve deep technical knowledge of tax laws, particularly Goods and Services Tax (GST), and proficiency in drafting advisory opinions, appeals, replies to show cause notices, etc. You will also be responsible for executing GST compliance mandates for clients and staying updated on legal/industry issues. **Key Responsibilities:** - Deep technical knowledge of tax Indirect tax laws, especially Goods and Services Tax (GST) - Proficiency in drafting advisory opinions, appeals, replies to show cause notices, etc. - Experience in executing GST compliance mandates for clients - Good knowledge of legal/industry issues and staying abreast of developments in law **Qualification Required:** - Qualified chartered accountant or lawyer - 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience in the Indirect tax/GST field - Proficiency in working with spreadsheets and creating presentations At Alvarez & Marsal, our entrepreneurial culture values independent thinkers and doers who positively impact clients and shape the industry.
