Associate - R2R

This role is for one of Weekday's clients. You will be responsible for leveraging your strong knowledge and application of US GAAP in areas such as SAAS accounting, revenue recognition, consolidations, and convertible debt. Your expertise in Quickbooks will be essential in your role. You will have the opportunity to train and mentor a team of accountants and work closely with startup founders to address their queries effectively. Responsibilities: - Work closely with startup founders to ensure business transactions are accurately reflected - Utilize new technology powered by AI, machine learning, and cutting-edge automation - Train and mentor staff and senior-level accountants - Ensure accurate and timely reporting of investor requirements and debt covenants - Review partner/affiliate, sales, and vendor contracts for proper accounting application - Manage clients at various stages (pre-revenue, post-revenue) - Knowledge of Equity recons and other balance sheet schedules - Perform P&L trending analysis - Review and/or perform full cycle month-end close and reporting - Confirm transactions for accuracy and completeness - Proactively anticipate and resolve client requests - Collaborate with team members and provide assistance as needed - Experience in supporting corporate tax Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance - 3 years of applicable experience - Minimum 2 years of experience in preparing form 1099 - CA/CPA/CMA/MBA, Accounting or Finance concentration preferred - 3+ years of direct experience working in high-tech startup preferred completing full cycle monthly close and reporting - Big 4 accounting experience a plus - Strong knowledge and application of US GAAP required in SAAS accounting, revenue recognition, consolidations, and convertible debt - Ability to interpret and apply PCC pronouncements and guidelines - Experience in due diligence preparation and external audits - Experience with Quickbooks Online, Expensify, Bill.com, and Gusto - Strong communication skills (oral and written) - Strong time and priority management skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite Perks: - Work in a beautiful office space in Pune/Mohali - Full-time position - Meals and snacks provided - Relocation expenses covered if moving to Pune,
