Associate IT Director

You will be responsible for collaborating with the CTO's office to shape and execute the IT strategy for our India Centre. Your role will be crucial in building and scaling a high-performing technology function, driving innovation, and ensuring alignment with global business priorities. The ideal candidate for this position will be a strategic thinker, a strong people leader, and a hands-on technologist capable of influencing across various levels. Your key responsibilities will include defining, scoping, and executing strategic tech initiatives that are aligned with global objectives. You will be required to recommend and implement scalable systems, platforms, and processes to support business growth. Furthermore, driving innovation, automation, and digital transformation efforts across the India Centre will be a significant part of your role. You will be tasked with establishing the IT organization from the ground up in India. Defining the talent strategy and recruiting top-tier technology professionals for long-term scalability will be essential for the growth and success of the organization. As part of your role, you will lead end-to-end program delivery with a focus on timelines, quality, and impact. Collaboration with engineering, automation, support, and global teams will be crucial to delivering results effectively. Acting as a bridge between global and India-based teams will be one of your responsibilities. You will work closely with the CTO's office and other senior stakeholders, representing India in global technology forums and contributing to shaping HQ-level strategies. Your role will also involve leading the transition of third-party vendor setups into fully in-house teams. Ensuring seamless knowledge transfer, operational continuity, and capability ramp-up will be vital in this process. The ideal candidate should have 15-20 years of experience in technology leadership roles, preferably within large global MNCs. A minimum of 8 years of global exposure working with international stakeholders and distributed teams is required. Strong technical expertise in software engineering, automation, enterprise platforms, and data analytics is essential. A proven track record in building and scaling IT organizations from the ground up, along with demonstrated experience in leading complex, cross-functional initiatives, is crucial. Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills are also necessary for this role. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Experience in establishing or scaling technology capability centers (CoEs) in India and prior engagement with CTO/CIO office transformation programs would be advantageous for this position.,
