Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of

Associate Director, Software Engineering Specialist

In this role you will:

Cloud Architecture Design: Lead the design, deployment, and management of scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions on AWS, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry best practices.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or AWS Cloud Formation to automate infrastructure provisioning and management
CI/CD Pipelines: Architect and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS Code Pipeline, or equivalent, ensuring seamless and secure application delivery.
Cloud Security: Enforce cloud security best practices, including IAM policies, encryption, compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC2, ISO 27001), and vulnerability management.
Containerization Orchestration: Design and manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS), ensuring scalability, resilience, and security.
Monitoring Optimization : Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalent tools to ensure system reliability and performance.
Collaboration Leadership : Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and security, to enhance cloud-based solutions. Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Incident Management Troubleshooting : Lead incident response efforts, troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure issues, and optimize system performance.

Requirements

15+ years of overall IT experience, with at least 5+ years of hands-on experience in AWS cloud engineering and platform development.
Proven expertise in designing and managing large-scale, secure AWS environments.
Experience with multi-cloud environments (e.g., Azure, GCP) is a plus
Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS, EKS, CloudFront, API gateway and IAM.
Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
Advanced scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation.
Expertise in containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, and AWS CloudWatch.
Familiarity with serverless architectures and event-driven systems.
Deep understanding of DevSecOps principles, including secure CI/CD pipelines, vulnerability scanning, and compliance automation.
Experience with security frameworks and tools (e.g., AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, WAF, and KMS
AWS certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Professional, AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, or equivalent are highly preferred
Strong leadership and mentoring abilities to guide teams and drive technical excellence
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
Experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and ways of working
Strong understanding of lean and agile methods of software delivery
