Associate Director - Ports & Marine

Job Description

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Undertaking design and planning activities on maritime projects - container terminals, mining/bulk, oil/gas, marinas, ports and harbors, offshore wind, coastal resiliency and development schemes Independently prepare calculations, drawings, and specifications and documents, and oversee the development of technical deliverables prepared by junior structural engineers. Oversee the work of junior structural engineers. Perform quality control review of design calculations or drawings. Participate in the development of technical scope and design fee estimates in response to RFPs. Lead and coordinate marine team with other in-house and subconsultant engineering disciplines as needed. Participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables. Work alongside a project manager to ensure technical and business-related successes of projects. Qualifications Master of Engineering degree (or equivalent education) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college or university. Chartered Engineer (CEng), or Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent in the relevant field from any global organization (e.g., Institution of Civil Engineers, UK) 15+ year's experienceas a Structural Engineer with a focus in ports, marine and waterfront projects Experience with computer analysis and design software such as SAP 2000, RISA 3D, STAAD.Pro, SAFE Experience with AutoCAD and Revit Excellent oral and written communication skills
