Associate Director Drupal Web CMS Specialist

Role Overview: As an Associate Director Drupal Web CMS Specialist at our company, you will lead the development and delivery of cutting-edge web solutions by leveraging your deep expertise in Drupal CMS architecture. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive technical innovation, and ensure seamless execution of complex projects in Agile environments. Your role as the go-to expert will involve defining standards, conducting analyses, and playing a critical role in implementing core functionality with meticulous attention to detail. Key Responsibilities: - Act as the Drupal Subject Matter Expert (SME) to evaluate solutions and drive consensus with internal and external teams, solution/platform architects, and vendor teams. - Conduct functional and technical analysis to convert customer requirements into software specifications and user stories. - Contribute to Agile sprint teams by participating in sprint planning, backlog management, and core functionality implementation. - Define development standards, best practices, design patterns, and governance for technical solutions. - Collaborate with team members to bring creative problem-solving, UX considerations, and innovative thinking to achieve project objectives. - Create and maintain system design documentation for the website, ensuring clear and actionable deliverables. - Facilitate production planning and seamless deployment of solutions. - Prepare and maintain technical specifications, documentation, and adhere to best practices for version control and software interoperability. - Independently develop and deliver Drupal CMS solutions under minimal supervision, leveraging best practices and architectural approaches. - Provide expertise in Acquia platform capabilities, core/contributed modules, and custom module development to meet site functionality requirements. - Diagnose and resolve development and performance issues throughout iterative sprints. Qualification Required: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related technical field with 12+ years of relevant experience, OR Masters degree with 10+ years of relevant experience. - Over 5 years of technical expertise in Drupal CMS solution development, including architectural experience. - Experience in application development within complex, multi-platform distributed environments. - Hands-on knowledge of CMS migration processes, preferably transitioning from an existing CMS to Drupal. - Strong understanding of infrastructure technologies, including hardware, virtualization, and networking. - Proficiency in at least one dynamic programming language such as JavaScript, PHP, or Python. - Skilled in modern development tools and source code management platforms (e.g., Visual Studio, Eclipse, Git, SVN). - Practical expertise in creating external system interfaces and definition processes. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
