Associate Director - Applied AI Engineering

We are not seeking mere delegators, budget owners, agency managers, or coordinators. We want hard-core geeks turned engineering managers turned management consultants who are hands-on techies interested in creating impactful solutions beyond traditional approaches. This role demands individuals who are not afraid to take bold bets, drive meaningful change, and create a leveraged impact by solving problems differently. As a strategic leader in Applied AI engineering, you will be responsible for developing and executing a roadmap with a product engineering mindset, leading a high-performance team of developers, architects, and engineering managers. Your role includes hiring, training, coaching, mentoring, and guiding the team towards success. Collaboration with architects, product management, and engineering teams is crucial to create valuable solutions that enhance the platform's offerings. You will own the end-to-end delivery of Applied AI projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and engineering quality. Your responsibilities will involve managing progress meetings, addressing project issues promptly, and communicating effectively with stakeholders. Additionally, you will participate in developing a long-term technology roadmap, influence leaders, and drive a culture of continuous improvement within the organization. While we believe education is important, we value experience and practical skills more. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering from a reputed institute is preferred, along with at least 5 years of leadership experience in overseeing Applied AI engineering teams. A successful track record in Solution Architecting and AI-based software development is essential. Proficiency in Generative AI, Google AI APIs, Machine Learning, and various software development technologies is required. Excellent communication skills, the ability to deliver complex software projects efficiently, and a knack for thriving in a dynamic environment are key attributes for this role. Experience in client-facing roles, relationship building, and a deep understanding of technology stacks including Python, Pyspark, TensorFlow, databases like MongoDB and Google Cloud SQL, and Google AI platforms such as App Engine, GKE, Vertex AI, Doc AI, and Conversational AI are important for success in this position.,
