About the Opportunity As a Senior Associate - Reconciliations - GPS Delivery in the Recs, CASS & Oversight department based in Gurgaon, you will play a crucial role in supporting the growth of BRC activities at the India Service Centre. Your responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with client money regulations, maintaining controls on customer assets, and upholding best practice standards in protecting customer assets and client monies. Your role involves being a part of the Bank Reconciliations department within the Banking, Reconciliations & Controls (BRC) group. You will be responsible for daily reconciliations of client money & settlement bank accounts, as well as reconciliation of client money and corporate ledgers. Timely reconciliations are essential to prevent regulatory incidents and to provide an accurate financial view of the company. Key Responsibilities - Daily reconciliation of Client Money and Settlement Bank Accounts to comply with regulatory requirements. - Identification and resolution of potential shortfalls/surpluses in client money accounts to prevent issues. - Timely money movements across accounts to address discrepancies and avoid incidents. - Maintenance and updating of ledgers, including recording reasons for outstanding items. - Investigation and follow-up on outstanding items with various departments for resolution. - Generation of reconciliation reports and aging analysis with action steps for resolution. - Continuous update and maintenance of regulatory knowledge within the team. - Flexibility to work beyond regular hours to meet business requirements. - Preparation of month-end reports and reconciliation summaries for Finance. Experience and Qualifications Required - Bachelor's degree in B.Com or equivalent from a recognized university. - 2-3 years of previous experience in finance or related areas is preferred. - Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. - Effective prioritization and organizational abilities to meet deadlines. - Commitment to enhancing customer service and internal processes. - Excellent communication skills. - Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Power Point. Knowledge of AS400/AutoRek is necessary. - Ability to collaborate with different departments and remain motivated. - Team player with self-motivation and adaptability to changing business needs. - Understanding of FCA Client Money regulations.
