This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 1000000 - Rs 1200000 (ie INR 10-12 LPA) Min Experience: 8 years Location: Ahmedabad JobType: full-time We are looking for an experienced and driven Assistant Sales Manager to grow the Industrial & Architectural Screens (IAS) business in the Western region. The role involves developing and executing sales strategies, managing key customer relationships, and promoting technical solutions across various industries such as Starch, Sugar, Paper, Mining, Chemicals, Edible Oil, Food & Beverage, and Water Treatment. Requirements Key Responsibilities: Sales & Business Development Drive sales growth and meet targets for order input, volume, and margin. Develop and execute an actionable sales plan for the assigned region. Conduct regular client visits to OEMs and industries for inquiry generation, presentations, negotiations, and order finalization. Get product specifications and brand approvals with consultants and through industrial and water tenders. Support the launch and promotion of new products and technologies in coordination with product and engineering teams. Submit timely sales reports, forecasts, and market intelligence updates. Build and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and long-term engagement. Technical Expertise Conduct application studies, product selection, and sizing for core products such as screen baskets, flat panels, nozzles, resin traps, DSM screens, etc. Provide technical recommendations to optimize customer screening and filtration processes. Assist internal teams with technical specifications, offer preparation, and cost estimation. Handle technical discussions and participate in contract reviews for large projects. Stay informed on major ongoing projects to tailor solutions effectively. Collaboration & Process Improvement Coordinate closely with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of projects and services. Provide insights on product/system deficiencies and recommend corrective measures. Contribute to business planning, risk analysis, and strategic sales initiatives. Maintain awareness of competitors, market trends, and opportunities. Other Requirements: Must be open to frequent travel across the Western region. Willingness to work flexible hours, including after-hours meetings and support at other company locations when needed. Foster a culture of collaboration, respect, and high professional standards. Qualifications: Essential: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Excellent communication skills in English. Preferred: 10-12 years of sales experience in screening or filtration systems across industries such as Chemicals, Starch, Sugar, Food Processing, Paper, Mining, and Water Treatment/ETPs. Skills & Competencies: Strong mechanical and technical aptitude. Excellent negotiation and customer relationship-building skills. Sales target orientation and ability to work independently.
