Assistant Professor Physiology

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and committed Assistant Professor in Physiology to join our academic team. The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education, fostering research, and contributing to the academic and administrative development of the department.

Key Responsibilities:Teaching:

• Teach Human Physiology to undergraduate (MBBS, BDS, BPT, BSc, etc.) and/or postgraduate students.
• Conduct practical sessions, tutorials, and demonstrations using appropriate teaching methodologies.
• Develop lesson plans, assessments, and instructional materials aligned with the curriculum.
• Supervise and guide students in laboratory and research-based learning.

Research:

• Engage in independent and collaborative research projects in the field of Physiology.
• Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at academic conferences.
• Mentor students in research methodology and scientific writing.

Academic and Administrative Duties:

• Participate in curriculum design, updates, and implementation.
• Contribute to departmental meetings, committees, and academic planning activities.
• Assist in institutional accreditation and compliance processes.
• Help organize workshops, CME programs, and student development initiatives.

Other Responsibilities:

• Maintain a professional and ethical academic environment.
• Stay updated with advancements in the field through continuous learning and development.
• Participate in faculty development programs and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications:Essential:

• MBBS with MD in Physiology from a recognized medical institution OR M.Sc. (Medical Physiology) with Ph.D. in Physiology.
• Teaching and/or research experience as per NMC/UGC/institutional norms.
• Eligibility criteria fulfilled as per regulatory guidelines (e.g., National Medical Commission, UGC).
