About the job: Key Responsibilities: 1. Academic instruction: The faculty member shall be responsible for delivering high-quality lectures, tutorials, and practical demonstrations in Human Physiology to undergraduate dental students (BDS). This includes preparing structured lesson plans, aligning content with the Dental Council of India (DCI) curriculum, and ensuring conceptual clarity with clinical relevance. 2. Student evaluation and mentorship: They must design and conduct internal assessments, viva voce, and practical examinations. The faculty is expected to provide academic guidance, identify learning gaps, and mentor students to improve performance and professional development. 3. Laboratory oversight: The faculty shall supervise physiology laboratory sessions, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and proper handling of instruments. They are responsible for maintaining lab equipment, consumables, and documentation of experiments conducted. 4. Research and scholarly contribution: Active participation in departmental research initiatives is expected. The faculty should contribute to scientific publications, attend academic conferences, and foster a culture of inquiry among students. 5. Regulatory and documentation compliance: The faculty must maintain accurate records of attendance, teaching hours, and student performance. They are required to assist in preparing documentation for DCI inspections, internal audits, and accreditation processes. 6. Interdisciplinary collaboration: They should coordinate with departments such as anatomy, biochemistry, and clinical sciences to support integrated teaching modules.
