Assistant Professor Anatomy

Job Summary:

We are looking for a qualified and dedicated Assistant Professor in Anatomy to join our academic faculty. The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or postgraduate students, contributing to academic development, conducting research, and participating in departmental administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities:Teaching & Academics:

• Deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical classes in Gross Anatomy, Embryology, Histology, and Neuroanatomy.
• Prepare teaching materials, conduct internal assessments, and assist with university examinations.
• Supervise cadaveric dissections and histology laboratory sessions.
• Mentor students and support their academic progress.
• Use modern teaching methodologies, including audiovisual aids and digital platforms.

Research & Publications:

• Initiate or participate in departmental research projects.
• Publish research findings in peer-reviewed national/international journals.
• Assist undergraduate and postgraduate students in research or project work (if applicable).

Administrative & Departmental Duties:

• Support curriculum development and planning.
• Participate in departmental meetings, audits, and accreditation processes (e.g., NMC, NAAC, NABH).
• Maintain student records, attendance, and academic files.
• Contribute to organizing academic events like seminars, workshops, or conferences.

Professional Development:

• Attend faculty development programs (FDPs), CMEs, workshops, and academic training sessions.
• Stay updated with current trends and developments in medical education and anatomical sciences.

Eligibility Criteria:Educational Qualification:

• MBBS with MD (Anatomy) / M.Sc. (Medical Anatomy) with Ph.D. (as per regulatory requirements).
• Degrees must be from institutions recognized by the NMC / MCI or relevant medical authority.

Experience:

• Prior experience as a Tutor / Demonstrator / Senior Resident is desirable.
• No minimum experience required post-MD for Assistant Professor (as per NMC norms, but may vary by institution).

Qualification - MBBS, MS/MD, M.Sc., PhD
