Assistant Professor Anatomy

Position Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and passionate individual to join our faculty as an Assistant Professor in Anatomy. The candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or postgraduate students, conducting research, and contributing to the academic and administrative activities of the department.

Key Responsibilities:Teaching:

• Deliver lectures, practical sessions, and tutorials in Human Anatomy for undergraduate (MBBS, BDS, BPT, BSc) and/or postgraduate students.
• Use modern teaching methods, including digital platforms, to enhance learning.
• Prepare course materials, assessments, and grading in accordance with the curriculum and institutional policies.
• Supervise students during laboratory dissections and practical demonstrations.

Research:

• Conduct original research in the field of anatomy and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
• Guide undergraduate and/or postgraduate students in their research and dissertation work.
• Apply for research grants and collaborate on interdisciplinary research projects.

Administrative:

• Participate in departmental meetings and curriculum development.
• Assist in organizing academic seminars, workshops, and conferences.
• Contribute to accreditation, quality assurance, and internal audits as required.

Other Duties:

• Maintain ethical standards and comply with institutional policies.
• Participate in community outreach and continuing education programs.
• Engage in faculty development and training initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Essential:
• MBBS with MD/MS in Anatomy from a recognized institution OR M.Sc. (Medical Anatomy) with Ph.D. in Anatomy.
• Eligibility as per NMC (National Medical Commission) / UGC / institutional norms.
• Teaching and/or research experience as per regulatory requirements (typically 1-3 years for Assistant Professor roles).
