Assistant Manager

We are looking for an experienced, commercially astute, and process-driven procurement professional to manage end-to-end sourcing and procurement activities for our residential real estate projects. The role is responsible for ensuring timely procurement of quality materials, building strategic vendor partnerships, and driving cost efficiencies while supporting seamless project execution.

As an Assistant Manager Procurement, you will be responsible for:

• Strategic Procurement & Sourcing

Lead end-to-end procurement of civil, MEP, finishing, and allied construction materials across multiple project sites. • Develop sourcing strategies that balance quality, cost, delivery timelines, and project requirements. • Float RFQs, evaluate vendor quotations, and conduct detailed techno-commercial comparisons. • Finalize Purchase Orders (POs) in accordance with approved budgets, technical specifications, and procurement policies.

• Vendor Management & Commercial Negotiation

Identify, evaluate, onboard, and develop a strong network of reliable vendors and suppliers. • Lead commercial negotiations to achieve the most competitive pricing, favourable payment terms, and delivery schedules. • Establish long-term vendor relationships while ensuring compliance with contractual commitments and quality standards. • Monitor vendor performance and proactively address supply, quality, or service-related concerns.

• Project Coordination & Material Planning

Partner closely with Project, Engineering, Design, and Planning teams to forecast material requirements and procurement schedules. • Ensure timely availability of materials through effective planning and Just-in-Time (JIT) delivery wherever applicable. • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve procurement-related challenges without impacting project timelines. • Support uninterrupted project execution through proactive procurement planning and follow-ups.

• Cost Optimization & Market Intelligence

Continuously monitor market trends, pricing movements, and supplier capabilities to identify cost-saving opportunities. • Conduct benchmarking exercises to improve procurement efficiency and optimize overall material costs. • Recommend alternate materials or sourcing strategies without compromising quality or project specifications.

• Process Excellence & Reporting

Maintain accurate procurement documentation, purchase records, vendor databases, and audit-ready files. • Prepare procurement MIS reports, spend analysis, and vendor performance reports for management review. • Ensure procurement activities comply with organizational policies, contractual obligations, and internal controls. • Drive continuous improvements in procurement processes, documentation, and reporting standards.

• Core Requirements

• Graduate in B.Com, BMS, or a related discipline; MBA/PG Diploma in Materials Management, Supply Chain, or Procurement is preferred.
• 8-10 years of procurement experience, preferably in the construction or real estate industry.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, and techno-commercial negotiations.
• Working knowledge of construction materials including civil, MEP, finishing materials, sanitaryware, hardware, electricals, and related categories.
• Experience working on ERP-based procurement systems (Far Vision or equivalent) is preferred.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, planning, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-functional coordination abilities.
