Assistant Manager

Responsible for overseeing the digital representation of physical and functional characteristics of places, which significantly enhances the building lifecycle through improved communication, collaboration, and automation. The main duties include managing the digital representation of physical and functional characteristics of places, ensuring the customer teams have access to accurate, timely, and pertinent data to make informed decisions, and reducing the risk of errors and reworks.

The role involves implementing BIM protocols and systems on new projects, coordinating project model deliveries, leading BIM coordination meetings, auditing work done by the team/vendor to meet customer accuracy expectations etc to facilitate seamless workflow integration.

Typically performs a range of tasks including developing and implementing BIM protocols and systems on new projects, coordinating project model deliveries, reviewing models to ensure accuracy and compliance, leading BIM coordination meetings, creating training materials, and liaising with project managers, engineers, and architects to facilitate seamless workflow integration.

The ideal candidate should have deep knowledge of BIM methodologies, excellent team management skills, and a strong ability to implement BIM technology across a range of projects.

Job Overview

• Role Summary: Lead the implementation of BIM standards, manage digital models, and facilitate collaboration across architects, engineers, contractors, and clients.
• Primary Goal: Ensure error-free, coordinated digital information models that drive project efficiency and reduce field rework

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategy & Standards: Develop and enforce company-wide BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and quality protocols.
• Model Coordination: Oversee federated model integration, clash detection, and multi-discipline coordination checks
• Team Leadership & Training: Train staff, mentor BIM coordinators and modelers, and run project progress meetings.
• Compliance & Auditing: Audit models at various lifecycle stages to verify accuracy, Level of Development (LOD), and regulatory compliance

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelors or Master’s degree in Architecture, Civil/Structural Engineering, or Construction Management would be an advantage.
• Experience: Typically, 5+ years of hands-on AEC and BIM coordination experience.
• Software Proficiency: Deep expertise in industry tools like Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Solibri, and Dynamo.
• Core Competencies: Strong communication, project management, technical problem-solving, and understanding of building codes
