Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Execute daily and weekly production plans for plastic paint components.
Monitor paint shop line operations to ensure timely output with desired quality.

Coordinate shift schedules, manpower allocation, and resource availability.

Oversee painting operations such as surface preparation, primer coating, base coat, and clear coat application.
Monitor critical process parameters (temperature, humidity, pressure, film thickness, etc.).
Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Ensure painted parts meet quality standards (appearance, thickness, adhesion, etc.).
Work closely with the Quality team to identify root causes of defects
Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Manage a team of operators, line leaders, and technicians.
Conduct on-the-job training for skill development.
Promote safety, discipline, and productivity on the shop floor.

Coordinate with the maintenance team for upkeep of spray booths, robots, conveyors, and ovens.

Enforce safety practices related to paint materials, flammable storage, PPE usage.
Ensure compliance with environmental and legal norms (handling VOCs, waste disposal, etc.)

Drive 5S, Kaizen, and Lean initiatives to improve efficiency.
Minimize paint rejection, rework, and material wastage.
Track and control consumable usage (paints, thinners, filters, etc.).
