Assistant Manager/ Manager - Corporate Tax

As a Taxation Specialist at our long-standing leader in the steel manufacturing sector, you will be responsible for various tax-related activities to ensure compliance and efficiency in our operations. Your role will involve: - Preparing tax audit reports, computing total income, filing income tax returns, and computing advance tax for the company and its group entities. - Calculating current tax and deferred tax on a quarterly basis, as well as tax reporting. - Managing tax assessments and litigations, including representing the company before revenue authorities for tax submissions and hearings. - Addressing all direct tax matters and queries for the company and its group entities. - Keeping abreast of new tax provisions and advocating for tax matters at different forums. To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills: - Chartered Accountant (CA) with 3-8 years of experience from Big 4 firms or corporate backgrounds, with prior exposure to corporate tax litigation and advisory. - Profound understanding of the Income Tax Act, international tax concepts, transfer pricing, and working knowledge of Ind-AS. - Demonstrated ability to deliver work efficiently, accurately, and within specified timelines. - Excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and a collaborative team player approach.
