Job Description

What this job involves: Prepare timely and accurate monthly property financial statements for most complex properties, generally a 1 or 2 property portfolio, by deadlines established within Client Accounting Services and external Client. Responsible for reviewing end-to-end work, which is assigned to the team, generally around 25-30 properties portfolio. Responsible for reviewing month-end close journal entries (accrual, prepayments, mortgage, etc.), and accounting corrections/reclassifications entries to ensure accurate accounting records against the income and expenses accounts. Conduct monthly variance analysis for balance sheet and P&L codes to determine the reason for deviations beyond the threshold limit. Timely preparation and delivery of the monthly financial packages in accordance with the deadline established within Client Accounting Services and by external Clients. Assist in the budget process and review the budget from an accounting perspective. Assume responsibility for the coordination and organization of year-end audit work and prepare supporting schedules. Maintain a working knowledge of mortgage agreements and management agreements for assigned properties. Handle difficult client situations and ensure that all special needs are being met. Develop and implement learning and development initiatives to enhance the skills and capabilities of employees. Support career development through succession planning, mentoring, and coaching programs. Provide effective performance feedback, goal setting, and performance improvement plans with one-on-one sessions. Sounds like you To apply, you need to have: Employee Specifications Strong Finance background, Commerce graduate or Post Graduate/CA Inter is preferred. Minimum 7-10 years of Operational/General ledger accounting and Finance experience including Profit and loss analysis, Balance sheet overview, Experience in real estate accounting is a plus Team leading experience is mandatory, generally 5-8 members of the team Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and logical thinking and carry a positive attitude to develop solutions quickly Impactful communication (written and verbal) to interact with clients and strong interpersonal skills Demonstrates professional leadership skills through effective work habits, and attitude, and creates an amicable environment. Exceptional organizational and time management abilities. Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure with multiple and changing priorities. High proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) or any real estate-related software Performance Objectives Identifies key issues and patterns from partial/conflicting data Identifies the problem and all relevant issues in straightforward situations, assesses each using standard procedures, and makes sound decisions.
